Moving whole pane with multiple panels

How can I move a whole pane that has multiple panels with various books in it? I know I can grab one tab and move and individual resource. But I want to drag all of the books at once somewhere else. It would seem like I ought to be able to grab the title bar for the pane and move it.

does floating the panel do it? (right click on a tab, select "open all in floating pane."

Hold down SHIFT as you drag a tab, and all tabs in that pane will be moved at once.

I tried that. I could then say "Dock all", but it added them to an existing panel, so it made even more of a mess. I want to be able to take the whole group of tabbed resources in a window (pane?) and move them around.

Brilliant! Exactly what I wanted. Is this documented in the help?

2010/07 update, version 4.0d. To float all, right click on one of the tabs in the main window and select "Open all in the floating window". To dock all, right click on one of the tabs that are floating, and select "dock all tabs".

I've added a note about this to the Moving Tabs section of the Layouts wiki page.
