Bug in highlighting book in Library

When you open the information window on a book in the library, you can no longer scroll to change the selection, without opening a book. If I click on a book name it opens a book. I want to be able to move the selection to another book to view the information about it, but without opening it. Also when I close the information window, the selection is still there, but I cannot use Up and Down to change selections, until I click on a book and open it.

This behavior is erratic. Sometimes when I click on a book name it opens it. For some reason it has settled down now and I can clicjk on the name and see the information about the book without opening it. It appears that if I click on the name of the book that has information displayed, I can now go to the next book with the arrow keys. But clicking on a book title still opens it.

If I do not have the information window open, I cannot click on a name to see the information without opening the book. Very frustrating.

This works for me. Clicking on the book title will open the book, but if you click on another part of the book's area you should be able to select without opening the book, and then use arrow keys to move the selection and read the info on each book.

In answer to your scrolling problem mentioned in your previous post, I see no problem since the scroll bar is to the immediate left of the information window.

As regards selecting another book, use the right button to select subsequent books.

I meant moving the highlighted (selected) book with the arrow keys. If I left click on a book, usually it opens, but sometimes it doesn't. I have not isolated the sequence that causes the book not to open. I will let you know when I have a better sense of it.

I will say that the selection does not always change to the book you click on. I have my Library open on a pane, so it is always there. I am only displaying title and the information window, so I can click on a book to see what it is about. When I open a book by clicking on it, the previously selected book stays highlighted. I don't think this is normal Windows behavior. However, if I then click on the tab for the Library to make that the active window and I then move the arrow key, it moves relative to the book I clicked on, not the book that was highlighted. So I think the selection is changing internally, but the display of the selection is not changing. So there is a minor selection bug here.

This seems to be the key for what I want to do. If I want to select a book without opening it, I can right click on it and dismiss the menu. Then I can move the selection with the arrow keys to see the contents of various books. This helps. Thanks!
