Unwanted Footnotes in Pillar

Friends,

When I cut and paste from resources (like the Pillar Commentary on Hebrews by O'Brian) I'm getting superscripted footnotes from the commentary text, even though in Program Settings I have "Copy Footnotes" set to "No."  This seemed to start about the time I upgraded to a new package during Logos's sale in September.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior, or have a fix?

Thanks,

Steve

You could simply use the backspace key to delete unwanted footnotes.

Um, well said, George.  Can do!  [:)]  It's just a bit confusing to have some footnote that belong in my document (citing refs from Logos) and some that don't belong, and having to edit all the latter out.

On an additional, um, note, some sources paste in just fine: College Press NIV Commentary seems to function well.

Hopefully others can confirm the issue for Pillar, but for me footnotes act according to the Setting.

If you mean that when you copy/paste a foot note is created referencing the resource, that is expected behavior.

The setting for "Copy Footnotes" has to do with copying footnotes that are within the resource itself. If those are being copied as well, then this would be unexpected behavior. If that's what's happening, double check your settings, then (if they are set correctly), set it to "Yes" close the settings pane, reopen and set it to "No" again. This will, in effect, reset the setting, in case something got messed up somewhere. Well, it's worth a try, and it doesn't cost much - just a little time.

That fixed it, Richard!  I actually rebooted Logos between settings changes (probably unnecessary). Thanks.
