Have people been trying out footnote display in resources or for printing? You can turn them on in Program Settings.
This will show footnotes inline when in paged view.
Excellent! I like it very much. Thank you Todd for mentioning that function. With some Study Bibles and other resources it feels too overwhelming however. The best would be IMHO to be able to switch it on and off individually with each resource.
Todd - I am not on Beta channel, but this would be a really useful option at times. Looks great! Thanks.
Hi Todd
I hadn't seen this but just turned it on. It looks very useful.
As far as I can see it only functions in paged view mode - but I guess that makes sense!
Thanks for pointing it out.
Graham
For paged view mode, can set columns to one (so footnotes appear).
Observation: "The NET Bible" has extensive footnotes so setting columns to one can result in lots of notes with some Bible lines.

Been enjoying it. Thanks to Phil, tweeting about it. Rather selfish of me not to mention it.
This is a great feature. I think it should be turned on by default. In fact, have set columns to 1 on many resources, just to get these footnotes. The only thing I miss about this is not having the scrollbar (hint, hint).
There is a bug, however. If you print with footnotes turned on you get the footnotes printed - Hallelujah!! - but if you make changes to the print range, they all disappear.
A fix for this will be included in Beta 6.
Finally got a chance to play with this (busy day yesterday - and today).
I do like it, but wish the footnotes were in a smaller font, perhaps 60% -70% of the size of the display font. I also suggest changing the setting description to "Show footnotes in page view" or "Display footnotes in page view" (trying to keep it shorter than "Show footnotes on page when in page view"). I'm anticipating what happened to me, when I didn't notice in your description that this only works in page view. As is, we can expect users to complain that they don't see footnotes on page after selecting this option, when this only works in page view (which is not the default view).
EDIT: Haven't played around with printing, since I almost never print from Logos, and can't think of any reason I would change that practice.

Agreed. Tried this feature with WBC on Exodus 15, and the footnotes overwhelmed the text. Most of these notes were simply expanding abbreviations.
Still I like the feature for less intrusive resources.

Concur with this recommendation. This would make it easier to distinguish between text and footnote. The thin line between them can become lost when viewing something like Douglas Moo's NIC volume on Romans.

Likewise concur. Also like footnote font size to change if modify resource font sizing. Perhaps 80 % font size for footnotes (one notch to left on slider from resource normal size).

[Y] for both recommendations.
Great idea. It would make the distinction of the book text and notes more distinguishable - and it is also a usual practice in the most paper books. Good suggestion Richard. [Y]

I would greatly love that! When will Beta 6 be released?
When will Beta 6 be released?
It will come like a thief in the night.
I do not have the "Show Footnotes on Page" button. I bought the silver package a couple months ago but I cannot find that tab. What should I do?
Hi Matthew - and welcome to the forums.
Are you running the stable release, 4.3?
If so, this is why you aren't seeing it as it is only in version 4.5 which is currently being beta tested.
You can join the beta programme (see details at http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program) but please be aware that there are risks with it and you can no longer get support from the Logos technical team (they only support the stable release)
Hope this helps

It looks all of our requests concerning that feature have been answered by Logos in the last Beta. Thank you for a great job. [Y]
