Are drop-down lists customizable?

Currently, the drop-down list for Open Collections shows 14 items. Is there a way to make that list longer, so that it shows 30 or 40 items?
This isn't a big deal, but would be convenient if it works.
Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river.
