How does upgrading work?
If I upgrade to Loogs bible study which is my 1st upgrade listed does it knock down the price of leader's, scholar etc until I get to the black case one?

Yes it does. I believe not the full amount of the difference you will pay to do so, but a good portion of it will apply to your next upgrade. Thus you can go at a step at a time for only a bit more than doing it all at once.

Bibile Study cost $225 for me and Leader's is like $276. I am holding out for Leaders but my main goal is to get the Scholar but I don't have $545 or whatever it was $5xx anyway.

Mark ... in earlier discussions, wasn't the conclusion that the process didn't favor 'baby-steps' ... that if you upgraded a level at a time, you'd loose quite a bit of money?
If that were true and if one indeed sought the higher level, then the pay-by-the-month would provide measurable savings.

To be honest, I've never even heard of that question (meaning, it's never been an issue).
I think the reason is that (1) Logos tries to accomodate as much as possible and (2) they control the resource licenses if things don't go quite right.
Given your interest (and assuming you live in the US/Canada), I'd call Logos and chat with a salesperson. They really do try to help.
Now, you WOULD need some sort of chargable card (there's many types) but their system needs to hit a card each month.

Most debit cards can be processed as credit cards, you should be able to pay Logos with your Debit card.

The price is higher but since I never will have the money all at once $49.62 a month is easy to do for me. They sold me the Scholar for $595 instead of $535 but it comes out to easy payments for 12 months so it is worth it. However preparing my library is taking a while. I ordered the download package. I won't be buying books off Vyrso for a while but I am happy

I think this is so awesome I am on the same level as my Pastor now. I just started a Celebrate Recovery Step Study so this will come in handy as I learn to hand over my baggage to God.

I just wanted to let you know a bit more about the payment plan...if you want to pay it off sooner, they will remove the $5 processing fee for the months that you pay off early (since you only pay a $5 processing fee per payment processed). Also, if you decide there are other resources that you would like to add to your payment plan (the total of the added resources would have to be $100 or more), you can contact sales and request to have them added to your existing payment plan (so you will only have the one $5 processing fee per month instead of two separate plans). Worth keeping in mind.

The $5 service charge is per transaction. So, oddly enough, making an "extra" payment may add $5. I don't really know. But paying off early or consolidating two payment plans will save you the unearned service charges.Then you can buy more resources with the savings. [:D]
If Logos offers an extended payment plan for Portfolio Edition, making it more affordable for many, then you can roll the upgrade price and remaining balance together and save by not having double service charges. There are a lot of ways Logos Sales persons and Bookkeeping can help you.
