Historic "Play by Play" - OT

Lots of the Old Testament writings happened concurrently. That is, some prophets, kings, judges were all alive at the same time and.

I’d love to read “side by side” / parallel with time the passages that correspond with each other.

I don’t think the chronological bible really does this?

If you click on type in your library and then click on Bible Harmony, you may have resources that do this. I don't know if you already know this or have resources like Synopsis of the Old Testament or A Harmony of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles.

OT chronology is a thorny subject which may be why it is harder to find the kind of resources you are asking for. If you check the Timelines in Logos 4 you'll find that for the OT timelines more than one is given and they don't completely agree.

That said, I do not have the chronological Bible but believe that was one man's attempt at putting everything he could date in what he thought was the order in which they occurred, including the interspersing of Psalms.

In Logos there is a harmony called A Harmony of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles that puts parallel passage in parallel columns as we are used to seeing in a harmony of the gospels. Of course this omits the prophets. I don't know of any other existing resources, but someone may be able to suggest others.
