Question about saved Layout...

Hey guys,
This makes 3 questions so far today but, with the other 2 returning the exact solution, I'm going to keep coming back to the well...
I have created a Layout called My Layout. I have added Tabs for Commentaries and set all my Link Sets and rearranged the screen just how I want. As a note, I created this layout as I was looking at Leviticus 10.
Now
When I'm on the Home Screen and search for any other topic or verse it takes me to what I'm assuming is the Logos default layout. When I apply "My Layout", it resets my spot to Leviticus 10 but leaves the Passage Guide on the text or topic I searched for.
I guess I'm not understanding the saved layout options. Will applying a layout you've saved always take you to the text you were looking at when you created the layout? Is there a way to apply all your Tabs and screen settings while still having the original text to topic displayed on all sections of the screen?
Thanks again for all the help.

Yes. That is the way it is designed for now. You are also correct that if you launch from the home page it will give you Logos default layout. There have been some suggestions in the past to enable a user select a saved layout as the default launched from the home page.

I am not sure I understand what you are saying here. Can you post a screen shot?

Hello Fred.
What I mean by "Is there a way to apply all your Tabs and screen settings while still having the original text or topic displayed on all sections of the screen?"
On My Layout, I have 3 Commentaries that open while reading the ESV. I have also have the "Link Set" set to "A" on all the Commentaries so they will auto scroll while I'm reading Bible text.
The Default Layout removes all but one of the Commentaries. When I choose the other two Commentaries, the Link Set is removed.
Also, the Tab orders are removed and switched back to default (I have my Bibles as ESV | NIV | KVJ | NAS). The default layout adds another Bible and rearranges the Tabs.
There are so other changes I've made to the information box that are removed by the default layout.
I understand if it can't be changed. Just though I would ask. Don't get me wrong, This is an AMAZING program. I've only had it 3 days now and am trying to learn how to navigate and comprehend everything it will do.
I would like to be able to save my layout as the default if ever possible.
Thanks Fred...

I think I understand. The problem you are having begins when you use the home page to launch the search. My suggestion would be start logos with a blank layout (or switch to a blank layout if you like having the home page at startup) and then open the custom layout you saved. Begin your study from the custom layout rather than the home page.
You may want to take a look at this wiki page if you have not done so already http://wiki.logos.com/Layouts__
After reviewing the page, you may find the links to additional information on the top right of this page helpful. I highly recommend the videos by Mark Barnes that are hyperlinked
