Hello,

I would love to have an Inter-linear Comparison Section of the Explorer Guide, which could compare 3 or more -predefined- Greek / Hebrew texts with the interlinear of the current Bible you are using, by percentages. Similar to the Bible Comparison tool already used in Logos, but in a much more concise manner displaying the predefined names of your top 3 texts and the percentages as to how much they differ from the interlinear of the verse you are studying beside them.

Thank You.

Kind of an interesting idea. I assume we're talking reverse interlinears, since the greek ones have only 2 that contain glosses.

But it would certainly be 'linguistic spagetti'. The sort orders would track english thereby colorfully displaying the mixed up greek.

What would be even more interesting is if there were a stack of 3 languages: hebrew > greek (with a re-sort) > english (and another re-sort). That would be the gourmet version.

Would be interesting to compare Greek Bible texts with Greek tagging in Reverse Interlinear resources (using Greek word order for comparison).

Likewise would be interesting to compare Hebrew and Aramaic using original language word order.

In Text Comparison, can use a collection to compare Bible text and manuscripts (ignoring case, marks, & punctuation):

Note: appears a verse number (Eph 1:16) is missing in LDGNT for text comparison.

KSFJ ... we seemed to have written on the same (or similar) idea, though mine several hours later.

I must compliment you on your idea!

If we complemented you on your own thread, you might get carried away with even more good ideas!
