I think I may go back to V3 for awhile......
Brought up L4 and was told there was a revision, so I waited while it installed. I know there was a problem re dragging things into the shortcut area, so I supposed the revision was a fix for that. (How do you determine what release you're running?)
First thing I tried was clicking the mouse wheel to see if it was fixed - it wasn't. Then I was playing around, just scrolling my NASB using the scroll bar with my Logitech trackball (line at a time). All of a sudden, everything froze - scroll bars wouldn't work and neither would anything else. Went back to FireFox and after a moment nothing worked there either. Finally used <CTL><SHIFT><ESC> to bring up Task Mgr and killed L4. Everything started working again.
Although L4 had mentioned it was going to do some indexing and though I had several programs open, there didn't seem to be any load at the system at the time. Programs running were FF, Thunderbird, iTunes, Live Messenger, AVG (free) and Compupic.
XP Home, MSI K9A Platinum, 2 gig RAM.
