While in the reading section On my iPad I would like to easily select a different Version of the Bible.

Is there an easy way to do this?  Thanks.

Vance - First, welcome to the forums!

I am not sure of your question. If you want to see two versions at once, you can create a split screen. In the screen shot below, you will see a semi-circle. draging that will create (or remove) a "split screen." (In portrait mode, drag up or down; in landscape, left or right).

If you are referring to the feature where scripture passages are hyperlinked to from non bible resources, and you want to read the NIV instead of the ESV (or other translation), you will need to set a preferred Bible. To do this, click on "more"; "Settings"; "Preferred Bible" and select the translation of your choice. Whenever you see a Scriptural reference in a book, your preferred translation will appear.

There is not any "easier" way to switch preferred translations - it's kind of "set and go."

If you want to compare versions, the "Text Comparison" feature would work better for you than the "reading section."

If I didn't answer your question, feel free to ask again.

I would be nice to not have to go back to the library to switch Bible versions.  Tapping the current Bible could  open a drop list of Bibles to be selected. Current method seems very inefficient

You can click on the +, select text comparison which will bring up your top 5 bibles and then select the translation you want to open. This is quicker and works if you have your top 5 bibles properly arranged to include the translations you go to most.
