This would be a good source for the student of church history, and particularly of the history of reformed thought.  He comes up fairly frequently for mention in D'aubigné History of the Reformation in the Time of Calvin (http://www.logos.com/product/4559/history-of-the-reformation-in-europe-in-the-time-of-calvin) and Muller Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics (http://www.logos.com/product/4463/post-reformation-reformed-dogmatics).
