i was doing a topical search and revisited the wiki page Topical Search Suggestions and after using some of the methods there, it occurred to me that it would be useful to create a Floating Tool window for some of these methods. So i thought that i would share this idea on the forum.

1. First i created a new Folder inside my floating tools folder in my Favorites.

2. Next i opened a Search window and set it up per this method Topic found in Basic Search
[you will want to setup the search window Basic, All Text, & Entire Library prior to adding it to your favorites]
Then i dragged the tab and placed it inside my folder in favorites (created in step 1)

3. Then i created another Search window and set it up per this method Searching using a Collection (i already had a collection for Topic resources; my collection is shown in the wiki)
[you will want to setup the search window Basic, Large Text, & your Collection prior to adding it to your favorites]
Then i dragged the tab and placed it inside my folder in favorites.

4. i then opened my custom PG for Topics which i use based on this method Topic found in Passage Guide
Then i dragged it to my folder in favorites.

5. Then i opened my custom BWS for definitions per this method Using Bible Word Study for topic info
Then i dragged it to my folder in favorites.

Now i have my Floating Tool for Topic Searching.

The steps below show how i use it.

1. Right-click on my folder in favorites and in the pop-up menu click on Open all in a floating window.

2. In the new floating window i quickly drag the tabs for each item to arrange them so that i see them all.

3. Then i type the word for the topic that i want to find. (i also select the word and use Ctrl C to copy the word to my clipboard)

4. Now i paste the word into this search window. (click in Find box and press Ctrl V )

5. When i paste the word into this custom PG, L4 shows me a variety of scriptures regarding this word. i select one that seems to be of interest.

6. Here i paste the word into my custom BWS guide.

Now i can examine hits for my topic in these various panes.

Now by using my new floating tool, i don't have to remember how to setup the different methods.
