New to logos iPad 2, need help

Is there a manual for the iPad 2 app?  I would like to use the split screen with a commentary below like I do on my desktop version. How do you clear off books in the reading area?

    If you want to change the book in one of the panels of the split screen, make sure the panel is active, and open the new book. It will open in the active panel.
