PBB Book won't Build
I've added a new PBB book and it is in my Library now. However, I have made several changes to the .docx file and now it won't rebuild. I get the error message that the "Build failed. Could not remove existing resource. Please close all other open panels and try again."
I have closed every open window and I still get this error message. I have deleted the link and re-add the file and it still does not re-build.
What can I do to re-build this PBB book?

might you have it open in a floating window, or as part of a search??
if not maybe retry and post logos4.log, but before you do try restarting your PC.. and retrying.

i had this problem with one that i had rebuilt a whole lot. To resolve it i had to delete it from the PB tool window (Right-click then Delete) and create it again. i have rebuilt it several times since then and it works OK.
PS: most of the time when i get this message, i close Logos4 and reopen it an it allows me to rebuild a book.

I do this as well; I've also restarted my computer. Isn't it something to do with the .docx file still being held in a cache somewhere and not fully released from the editing program before the PBB program picks it up to build the book... Or something to that effect.

Thanks. I did this and it worked.
However, when I tried to rebuild the book yet again, I got the same error.

was the indexer icon running? if book is being indexed it will fail as file is in use?

Gary, do you run the latest release of Logos? I seem to remember some PBB-rebuild issues that were fixed.

If you perform a search on the PB, or if it appears in a Guide or Tool then their tabs need to be closed or restart L4. The situation will be improved in v 4.5.

I had closed every window, so all my searches, passage guides, etc. were closed and then I restarted Logos 4. Now this had worked for me in the past with other books, so I was surprised when it happened with my latest PBB.

Nope, the indexer was not running. Somehow this PBB must have been being used by Logos 4 in some manner that I cannot determine. So I have continued to delete the entire book and re-create it. The only other thought I have is that is it a rather large book, 600 pages, but I don't know if that should matter. Oh well. thanks everyone.
