Android App on Kindle Fire: Navigation Menu not accessible
Thank you for the Beta version Android App! I am running on this on my Kindle Fire, and it is lightning fast!
One serious problem: The navigation menu pops up by touching the menu button on the Fire's task bar. This works from the home page of the Logos app, where the Fire's task bar stays active. When you go to a Logos book or resource, the Task Bar goes to auto hide. Tapping the screen brings up the task bar, but as soon as you touch the menu botton, the Logos menu bar disappears behind the Kindle Task bar.
POSSIBLE FIX: write a code to keep the Android Task bar active when in a book.
Thanks!

I too have noticed this problem on the Kindle Fire. When you bring up the menu in a book, the bottom three buttons are hidden by the android menu. Also, when you long hold on a word and the information comes up, the button at the bottom for a word study is hidden mostly. You can get with your fingernail if you hit it just right.

Are you guys using version 0.9.2? I had that problem with an earlier release (the one that's currently in the Amazon store, I think). But side-loading the 0.9.2 version corrected this problem for me.

Ah, I downloaded the one from the app store. I'll have to try sideloading 9.2. Thanks

I looked at the Amazon App Store and they say that it is version 0.9.2. Is this different than one that would be sideloaded?

Maybe they've updated the version in the app store since you got it? You can check by:
1. Opening the Kindle Fire's top menu (the one that has the volume, brightness, etc.)
2. Selecting "More"
3. Selecting "Applications"
4. Selecting, Filter By: "Third Party Applicaitons"
5. Scrolling down and selecting Logos
The version you have installed will be listed towards the top. If it's 0.9.2, well, hmm, then I don't know why you're seeing the old behavior. Hopefully it'll be an older version and you can install the latest.

It was 0.9.1. I may have done something wrong. I removed it from the device in order to download 0.9.2 but then the Logos app would not download. I had to reset it to factory defaults to be able to get the Logos app again. I saw after I dropped it that their is an option to upgrade. I'll try that when 0.9.3 comes to the Amazon App Store. It did fix the earlier problems too, by the way.

Yes, we should have improved compatibility with the Kindle Fire in our recent updates.
Please let us know if you have further problems with it.
Thanks,

So far, nothing that hasn't been reported on already for 9.2. I'm waiting for 9.3 to be released in the Amazon app store. Hopefully they approve it soon.
