Are these really your priorities?

It's been a while since I've pushed logos.uservoice.com. These are the current top 50 - if they don't represent your priorities go vote or change your votes.

* is a change to the basic Logos 4 application (PC or Mac)

** is integration with a 3rd party product

blank is a Logos moble/web app

percentages are based on the total votes for the top 50 items not the total votes in uservoice

  • Curious about comment "overlaps Logos 4 Mac Enhancements" for "Improve Logos 4 Mac feature parity with PC" ?

Looking at wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Gestures noted PC gestures use Mouse right click while "Logos 4 Mac Enhancements" suggestion uses finger(s) for gestures => http://www.apple.com/macosx/whats-new/gestures.html

Likewise living and learning that Windows 7 included 5 multi-touch gestures => http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee336016.aspx so Logos 4 Mac Enhancement request does overlap some Windows 7 functionality plus request support for more multi-finger gestures in Mac OS X (plus anticipating more mutli-touch gestures in Windows 8).

Note: initially had planned to include "Logos 4 Mac Enhancements" with "Improve Logos 4 Mac feature parity with PC" in a single suggestion (like "Rework Notes"), changed to several suggestions per Logos developer comment => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/36249/271946.aspx#271946

Uservoice works best when the items suggested are more granular. Since each user gets a certain number of votes, the relative priority of each of these items will become apparent if each of your bullet points is given its own item in Uservoice (some of them already have items).

By the way, wiki Mac and PC User Interface Differences => Feature Parity has 7 items with improvements in Logos 4.5 Beta 5 so wish Logos would change suggestion status to "in Progress".

Wonder if weekday daily deals on Twitter are a Logos response to "How about a daily offer like ..."

    Keep Smiling [:)]

Since the iPhone app highlighting and note-taking function is already "in progress" why don't people move their votes from that to something else? I mean that's 529 votes just sitting idle. The same can be said about the topical search function too....that's over 460 votes not doing any good!

I agree with David. I was one who pushed for uservoice because I had seen a similar approach work well for another product. However, Logos 4 was released with so many deficits that it is taking time to weed out (by completion) the bugs, design flaws and incompleteness of the original product. But there has been significant progress including the implementation of some suggestions way down in the vote count e.g. the ability to search My Content explicitly.

However, while not advocating it, I think that making one suggestion for Notes that moved quickly to the first page gave it visibility in a way that many smaller requests did not. Mac users may need to make a similar "statement" to raise visibility.

This is the type of discussion I hoped the post would raise. There are many good suggestions that could easily become more visible with 50-100 more votes. Between people who have not voted and people moving votes from items already underway we could certainly provide Logos with more feedback on our actual needs.

So maybe I should put a request to consider voting for the Devotional Guide

And only 872 votes on item Number One???

Can we get a BLOG on this so that it might show up on user home pages??

I'm really surprised that reforming the pen/touch GUI of L4Win scores so low--using Logos on a Win tablet is just not the great experience it could be, but instead one of sub-optimal Flicks hacks.

I'd put all 10 votes against it, but can't vote more than 3 on any one item.

    Very good idea

I suspect that most of the pushes for uservoice are in the main PC forum so that mobile users are underrepresented. Another reason for us to occasionally bring the list to peoples' attention.

I also know that some people think only "power users" know what modifications would be useful. In fact, it is the priorities of the "silent majority" which is most useful to Logos for long-term, high-volume customer satisfaction.

I'm somewhat surprised and disappointed that, although there is a request for a topic search, there is no request for a reference search.  I find "cited by" terribly deficient.  A work-around is to search a particular resource or to create a collection of books one wishes to search (such as ANF — though that is probably one everyone will have anyway) and search the collection.  I suppose it's do-able, but I miss the reference search (and dislike "cited by").  Too much dross for the amount of usable information.

I only gave the top 50 - it may be further down in the list. But I'm with you on that.

The top choice is really wasted votes...its a given they should be doing this throughout the software development life cycle.  Rather than putting your vote to something so general , consider moving it to more specific idea.

So one of the top vote getters is the memory option...I am longing for this!
