I am wanting to begin a reading plan on 1st December in which I read Matthew 1-7 every day for a month. Then in January Matthew 8-14 and February Matthew 15-21 etc through the New Testament. Is there any way I can do this on logos?
Leslie - First, welcome to the forums!
I am unsure of your question, and read it two ways:
1) If you are wanting to learn how to create a reading plan: Go to "file"; "new" and click on "reading plan". You will get a dialog box as shown in the screen shot below. To create your reading plan for december, replace:
When you have made these changes, click "Go"
2) As far as I am aware, you will need to create a new reading plan for January, etc. I don't believe there is any way to create a "staggered" reading plan the way you have described.
I have done what you have said but the Bible reading plan gives out the following result
I however want it to give me Matthew ch 1 through 7 every day for that month and then the next month give me Matthew ch 8 through 14 every day instead of breaking it up throughout the days.
But maybe this isn't possible
Oops. I don't make reading plans very often. The syntax would probably need to be something like:
Mat 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7; 1-7;
There may be a bug. When I tried this, however, I got some anomalies as seen in this screen shot:
I am a bit curious however. Is there a reason you would need a reading plan like this? I use reading plans to remind me what to read, but if you are reading the same thing every day for a month, it would seem fairly simple to keep track of on your own. Just my 2₵.
