I am trying to put Logos 3 on a netbook because Logos 4 will not go on my netbook. Can someone tell me how to turn off automatic updates for IE9 so that it does not download because Logos 3 will. It run with IE9. Thanks!
Michael
I assume you're on W7? If so, type 'Windows Updates' in the Start command box. Then select 'Settings' on the upper-left. Then choose in first menu, to show you the updates before either downloading or installing.
That said W7's a bit tricky. Even when I unchecked the IE9 update, it re-checked it later. So I have to make sure each time I allow updating to make sure IE9 is unchecked.
Apparently on the forums, many do ok with IE9 plus the patch. I haven't tried it, since I don't use IE.
Windows8 is going to be even more tricky, forcing an update; will have to see how that goes.
In Windows Updates if you right click on the IE 9 update there is an option to "Hide Update." Once you select that it will not update to IE 9 unless you restore hidden updates or manually update your browser.
Thanks Kevin! (though to be honest, I don't trust the setting!)
