Random Thanksgiving

As as I was reading some Barth, Owen, Aquinas and Farrow this afternoon a thought crossed my mind- how jaded I have become in reference to Logos and modern technology. I have instant access and tools for reading and study that were unimaginable for almost all of human history. If I attempted to list all the advantages presented to me by this technology it would take pages to enumerate. Imagine- for almost all of human history only the very few had even basic access to the resources now at my fingertips. I am a spoiled child of our technological revolution, however, at this moment I am a grateful one. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Ever wonder how those in the past could posibly research without Logos and the internet? George H. M. Peters wrote "The Theocratic Kingdom" in the last part of the 19th century available in Logos

The 3 volumes are 2100-2200 pages depending on the printing. In the preface of my dead tree edition Wilber M. Smith writes: "...this man must have read almost everything of value in the area of theology, especially prophecy, as well as hundreds of volumes of history, science, literature, ect., for an examination of the index reveals that he has quoted from over four thousand different authors, from the early church fathers down to the last quarter of the nineteenth century."
