Am I The Only Guy Who Loves The Home Page?

I love the home page. What a big improvement over L3. I like getting up in the morning and opening it up and seeing what's there. For me, it really is like a fresh edition of a morning newspaper. And the articles on the page are in books that are mine! all mine! It helps educate me as to what books I do have. It keeps me up to date on Community pricing and Pre-Pubs. Of course additional flexibility would be nice but if that never came I would still be a very happy camper!

You're not the only one, there was something like this in V3 but the homepage in V4 is heaps better [:D]

Same for me...I really enjoy the v4 home page.

It has grown on me as well. Once the Logos folks get a chance to take a breath after the flurry of activities from last week's launch, I'd like to know how the homepage is implemented (just curious). How are the choices made for which resources to pick for display, does everyone who uses Logos have the same homepage each day, is it all random, is is based on some date/time calculation, is it based on the user's recent activity, etc?

I'm really liking L4 the more I use it. Prepping for this week's teaching lesson was challenging given the new technology, but it was a good learning experience.

Everyone's homepage depends on the resources they have in their library. For example, I get excerpts from Word Biblical Commentary resources but anyone who does not own these will not get these resources.

The excerpts are compiled by an editorial team - I'm not exactly sure what criteria they use for picking topics. At one stage in the Beta, it was obvious that they were working through Galatians offering excerpts on everything from "Where was Galatia?", the salutation and various pericopae.

If you hit F5 at anytime you can refresh the home page, so it's obvious that not even the "Book of the Day" is date bound.
