Date Format Mac and iPad

Just started using the lectionaries, and have realised that the date uses US format (mm/dd/yyyy). Is there an option that I can't find, that changes the format to a more international format (dd/mm/yyyy)?

I don't use a Mac but do have an iPad and don't see exactly to what you are referring.

Can you be more specific, maybe posting a screenshot (http://wiki.logos.com/Screenshot)?

I do have a Mac and I like Graham don't see where you are seeing this so a screen shot would be really useful (+shift+4) will do the trick - then use the paper clip on the tool bar above your reply.

On a different note I understood the international format to bey yyyy/mm/dd/hr/min/sec so that things can be sorted numerically?

OK. Date box shown top left. In US Date format.

if I want to go to 25th December, I type in as below

I hit "return" and it remains where it was.

The only way I can get it to go to the date i require, is to type in US format "12.25.2011"

and then it will take me to the date I am after.

Is there a setting in logos that allows the use of non-US date format?

On your different note, of course you are correct in sortability (is that a word) of yyyy/mm/dd.[;)]

With Revised Common Lectionary open on iPad:

tap on screen. Up the top, a date box will appear. "ymd 2011.11.1" is in the date box.
I want to go to 25th December, so I replace it to read "ymd 2011.12.25"
press "GO" on keyboard and readings remain the same.
but if i type in "12.25.2011" into date box and press "go", it takes me where I want to go

is there a logos option to use non-US date format?

This is strange - and I have reproduced the behaviour you report!

One would have thought that with the date shown in the text box being in the format shown "ymd 2011.11.1" then over-typing a date in a similar format would allow you to move to a different place. Having to remove the "ymd" and type in the date in a different format "mm.dd.yyyy" is very strange.

I assume that this must relate to the way in which Logos has tagged the resource but don't fully understand it

I am not aware of any option to change this
