Passage Analysis

When I choose the "word" that I want to analyize and press enter some words have larger font. It this due to that word occurs more often, or due to that word being the central theme of the passage?

Either way is there a method to find the word that occurs most often or has the most significance without randomly choosing words to test?

I'm just guessing you're probably wanting to instead use the 'Passage Guide' under 'Guides' (instead of 'Tools') and then looking at the 'Interesting Words' section where Logos4 uses a fairly sophisticated analysis to show you the important words.

The Passage Analysis gives you some additional visual clues, but the Passage Guide does the 'heavy lifting' for you.

Fred it sounds like you are looking at the interesting words section of the Passage Guide. It can also be added to Exegetical Guide. It uses a statistcal algorithm to determine the 'interesting words' in a passage - they might look random, but are not intended to be so - hence you can use it to assist in getting a feel for topics/themes of a passage, but I would not use this as an authority on what the theme or topic of a passage, but it can be a helpful tool.

There are word cloud tools on the internet such as wordle that you could copy the text of the passage from Logos and paste into Wordle. This can be useful as wordle works on word frequency and so provides a slightly different 'view' of a passage to the interesting words tool.
