Laptop Install

Hi,

I am presently running Logos 4 on by desktop PC, core2quad processor. I am due to take delivery of a new quad core laptop with 8gb memory in the next few days.

As I understand it, I am permitted to install my Logos Library on my laptop as well as my desktop, for my use only.

My question is, what is the easiest way for me to do this, including re downloading my resources including the perseus collections?

Is there a link for me to download the Logos 4 software itself, and do I then log in, on the new laptop install, with my Logos account, and will my resources then automatically download, or do I need to do something else.

I appreciate any help anyone can give, and apologise if this is a silly question.

Have a look at http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers which gives various options on how to achieve this.

Option 2 would seem to be what you are looking for.

Not a silly question at all, any questions about the use of Logos software are fine here. The wiki (referenced above) has a lot of useful help and advice as well.

If you are married your spouse can also use it (unless also engaged in full-time ministry or teaching at a seminary, and you don't mind sharing various files). If you do share with your spouse a quick workaround would be to put you initials (i.e. a note file for you on Exodus might be titled "Exodus (DC)" then you can search in files for your initials and your stuff will come up.

[Y] Thankful can use my Logos library on a variety of electronic devices.

Caution: having two or more Logos 4 installations open at the same time has potential for sync surprises, especially if have same stuff open (e.g. library priorities, notes, etc).

I have managed to get Logos 4 installed on my laptop by following the instructions in the wiki that were linked to here in a reply.

The only problem I seem to have now is that the Logos 4 front page of news and announcement is not showing any images.

Does anyone have any idea why the images are not showing on this page.

No, but some logs may help. See http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging Go to Home Page, exit L4 and upload logos4.log + logos4error.log.

But, when I booted up this morning, it was displaying correctly. I guess it just needed another reboot.
