OpenText Syntax Query Question

I'm interested in the looking for parallel constructions to Luke 1:28 where the OpenSyntax database shows the predicate Χαῖρε followed by an Addressee Component (the participle κεχαριτωμένη). Here is their clause layout:

I've built a query that almost works:

How do I finish the query so I have a second word element like the element in the Predicator? I've tried just adding a Word Group and a Word element, but that doesn't work.

First, I don't think the morph specification you've got (@V?A[IN]) matches χαιρε in this case as OpenText.org has it as an imperative. Perhaps you want @V?A[IM] as the morph spec?

Second, the addressee is an embedded clause (participle) so you'd need something like this (OpenText queries can get wide, I shrunk the the zoom to get it all in there). Didn't know what morph you were looking for in the second word object (perfect passive participle? @VRPP?) so I left it blank. The query below had 4 hits including Lu 1.28.

Thank you....I should have tried that. Is there no way to "wildcard" elements of the tagging. On the embedded clause participle, I would have thought it sufficient to look for an Addressee, then some kind of wildcard and move to the word unit. I kept trying to use either Gap or Anything, I never explicitly listed all the tagging elements in the tree (this new metalanguage is killing me).

I've limited the first verb to @V?A[IM], and the second to @V. That query has three hits, Luke 1.28 and Rev. 16.5 twice. I'm curious as to the difference in hit count. Here's the current state of my query:

Hi Clint

Yes, you can do this. Add the Word object directly after the Clause Component (addressee) object. Then right-click the word object. You'll see an option for "Matching Skips Levels"; make sure that is checked. Then any hierarchy should be able to intervene the component and word objects. Or, if you don't really care about specifying features of the Word object (could be anything, not just a verb) you could simply not include it and only have the clause component (like your first attempt).

On counts -- looks like I had an "Anything" object between the Predicator and Addressee when I wrote the search initially (before I took the screen capture); this will allow intervening content/components in the same clause. Gal 4.27, where the participle in the addressee is negated with ουκ, is one extra hit. Also Rev 11.17, which is similar to what's going on in Rev 16.5 but with more intervening content.
