    Hi Dean

It will depend on what resources you own - but its probably some of those shown in http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41524.aspx

  • Dean, I suggest that you look at your home page in Logos. If it does not show up, then press F5 key to refresh, and see the results.

So I guess the next question is, how are these resources being updated?

Not sure I quite understand - and, in general, we don't get details of what changes have been made.

It could include fixing of typos, updating of links, changes to metadata, etc.

In case of the ESV (which was part of it, along with its RI) in the past it has been publisher's "silent updating" of the text - dont't know about this time. Regarding Rick Brannons Apostolic Fathers Interlinear, this is a bug fix that has been reported and announced in another thread.

Overall, I'd like to have a version list with changes in the resource info panel - we tend to view these as rather static, such as books, but maybe we are wrong.

Why the constant updates? It seems like every single day I log on, I have to wait through an entire process of updating, syncing, etc.

    1. Syncing isn't updating. Syncing allows you to share information across platforms (computers, mobile, web). It also provides a backup. Those are many-times-a-day functions.
    2. Anytime you add a new resource, it will cause a download, restart & indexing.
    3. Anytime Logos updates an existing resource, it will cause a download, restart & indexing.
    4. Anytime Logos has a software update, it will cause a download & restart (and sometimes indexing).

Software updates vary, but most of the time they aren't but a couple of times a month (unless you are on beta).

Resources get updated from time to time… the larger your library, the more often you will feel the effects of these updates. If you only had ONE resource, it might be a couple of years before it gets updated. By the way, updates on resources are great! They add things like new tags, features, fixed typos, etc.

You can turn syncing off… but I wouldn't suggest it.

Thanks. I have Platinum, so I guess with that size of Library adding tags, etc are going to happen more often. It does seem like daily I'm getting a message that it needs to update my library or that there has been some kind of update to the software. I suppose that's a good thing. With it happening so often though, I just had concerns as to how much Logos really needs to be updating and what they are updating or changing.

Yes, I understand that syncing is for between resources, so that's a good feature to have.

The program settings allow you to specify to either prompt you before downloading/installing updates. Or you can specify a time period (overnight if you leave your computer on) to check for updates.
