Solution to missing book issues???

I was wondering if there might be a way of possible getting around the numerous volumes we would like on our mobile devices but do not have. I was thinking about PBB, if there was some way to export a book to PBB and then place it into our own personal devices, I know this is only possible if you were one day hopping to implement PBB for mobile but just thought I would ask. This would open up the ability of people to use anything they wanted. And while lacking the connivence of the logos cloud and proper user guides that the cloud provides, but would give us a good stop gap solution. And would seem to be simuar to the solution of people saving books to pdf for offline reading, not a perfect solution but well within fair use ideals.
