After updating to Logos 4.5 Beta 8 on Snow Leopard (10.6.8), had 3 resources to download. Indexer.log showed 2 completed along with status of 99% complete for download. Activity monitor showed nothing being downloaded with no disk activity and small (0.5% CPU usage) so sampled Logos 4 Indexer (noted semaphore wait), then cancelled download. Dialog box appeared to add resources => OK. After Logos 4.5 Beta 8 restart, initially started indexing, then stopped to download 1 resource, followed by dialog box to add resource => OK. Third time was a charm; indexing completed (merging postings took awhile, as usual).
