Design error

I was just testing the handouts again ... I'm still hopeful they will be useful ... and discovered that the styles have changed primarily to casual unappealing styles that are not suitable to older participants in Bible Studies. Please bring back some of the original choices that appeal to the more formal crowd. We haven't all died off yet you know.[:P]

I do remember them being changed, "Themes" that is and must say i preferred some of the older ones to the current offerings......

Maybe a good solution would be to keep the current styles/themes, but also add the older ones back as well. Giving Logos Users more options can only be a good thing. Of course as a Mac user I wish we had handouts on our side of the software.

To be honest I haven't found handouts all that useful... but theme affect more than handouts but the way for instance biblical people are displayed. I am more likely to use a Word Processor to build a handout.

I agree, I am currently working on a Bible study guide, and wish I could use the Mac to create a handout. What would be helpful if we could edit them in such a way to add study questions of our own.

You can add a blank item and type in your own study questions. that not a problem, but you can't add anything other than text from outside Logos, so if you find useful chart, graphic or have your own photo you want to create, etc you can't add these to the handout. As a very practical example a ministry has no way of adding their own logo to the document, they can only add the name. But you do get a Logos Logo whether you want it or not. Also from what I can work out you are stuck with a date on the handout whether or not is relevant to your purpose. And it just crashed Logos as I was typing this threading and checking out these points to make sure what I am saying is as correct......so log files attached.6403.Logos4Crash.zip

Hopefully someday they will, but I am not going to be holding my breath because I am still holding my breath for notes to be useful.

Observation: Handouts can insert a Bible passage without Chapter and Verse numbers. However, trying to edit a Bible passage in a new Handout (after changing style to minimal) crashed Logos 4.5 Beta 8.

Edit: appears Handouts is limited to 20 verses when inserting a passage, which is a wee bit small.

You can add an image to a personal book...not sure about how you would tag the image so it would show up in the handout....
