Repeatable Crash: DPL

I have been working on sermon preparation and encountered a repeatable crash.

I had the Dictionary of Paul and His Letters (IVP) open in half the window displaying the first page of the article, 'Triumph'. The resource is set up with auto columns.

When trying to navigate to the next page, I accidentally hit the right arrow key which results in a repeatable crash (logs of the original and then repeated crash attached).

Most frustratingly, the first crash appears to have resulted in me losing my layout which was the result of a couple of hours work (I had run a number of searches and had the resources titled for reading later).

There is now an unaccounted for gap of two plus hours in the layout pulldown menu,

The layout entitled 'General Reading' is the layout I had open before I began work. The snapshot, 15:03 is the post crash layout (L4 reverted to the 'General Reading' layout open before I began work).

Crash logs are attached.

I am using L4 (Windows) 4.3 SR-6 (4.30.0.1613). PC specs in footer below.

The layout entitled 'General Reading' is the layout I had open before I began work. The snapshot, 15:03 is the post crash layout (L4 reverted to the 'General Reading' layout open before I began work).

Unfortunately Logos will revert to a known, safe layout after a crash. You need to save a new layout or update a previous saved layout whilst you are working.

Crash logs are attached.

These should be useful to Logos when they come upon this thread.

I had assumed, because L4 syncs regularly with the cloud, that any active layout would be saved regularly.

I will take care in the future to ensure that I save my work. Thank you for the response and the advice.

Snapshots are made infrequently e.g. when you close Logos or switch layouts, so it could have happened if you had not crashed. Whilst they are saved to your HD only named layouts are sync'd. But you have to manually save/update the layout for a sync to occur.

The right arrow you hit goes to the next selection in your parallel resources. See my attached screen shot, mine went to Collins English Dictionary. Do you have entries in the Parallel Resources button I have circled here, what do you see if you click on it?

Thank you for the response.

I had forgotten that the right arrow should navigate through parallel resources. There are parallel resources associated with this particular article. I wonder if the problem resulted from me already having the next resource in the list open?

Later, I will try closing DBI and seeing if I can still force the crash (I am heading out to church shortly and won't get chance until this afternoon).
