PB: Word for Mac page numbers

I am working on preparing os personal books and would like to tag page numbers. I thought I could use the header function because I could add the tagging for the page number on the first page and then it would be repeated on every page. But when Logos compiles the book they are not recognized. Is there anyway to do this. I know there are some macros on the forums, but I am not sure how to use them on the Mac.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used that milestone, but put it in header like this:

But they did not show up, I copied the milestone front the wiki. Is there a way to get then read from the header. I find this is helpful, because I didn't have to change the milestone on each page, it was formatted automatically.

Yes, it does, that is why if this could somehow work, it would be very useful for people creating books in Word, tagging the page numbers that way would be great.

Yes, Word has an option to insert the page # in a header (or footer). Also can insert total number of pages; e.g. Page # of ##

Edit: for grins, added Page header to one of my Personal Books to see what would happen:

While editing document, Word 2010 shows generated Page number if document printed; changing print margins and/or printer can change Page #.

Learned Personal Book builds OK, but does not have a page index so appears header is ignored by Logos 4.5 Beta 8 on Windows.

What I am trying to find out is there a way to get Logos Personal Book to recognize text in the header or footer. Is there a setting I can change in Word for Mac? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bump. Does anyone know how to do this yet? I'm running into the same problem. I'm tying to make a personal book from a word document, and I'm wanting to be able to jump to a specific page in Logos with it, but all the page numbers are in the header, and Logos Personal Books doesn't seem to grab that.

Is there a way to have Logos Personal Book Builder check the header or footer for the page numbers? Or is there a way to automatically put the page number in the content of the word doc instead of the header or footer so that Logos will pick it up?

AFAIK, the PB compiler ignores page header and footer, which makes a lot of sense since these relate to fixed paper size pages. When recreating a formerly printed book as a PB, one would need to put the page milestones exactly to where the break was in the body text.

I remember that DominicM Dominick Sela put a macro into the files forum many moons ago to insert a page number every x words into a document (just arbitrarily like in real life) which back then helped those who want to use "read aloud" which somehow was only working with page-indexed books.
