I would like to be able to export search results to a clippings file so I can then work through them from the clippings file and discard the ones that are not useful to my current study.

Just a question - why a clippings file rather than a note file?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    Why not ? [:)]

I want to export all results to a clippings at once for the purpose of trimming down search results in the research file.  You can only narrow results down so far using collections, Boolean search operators etc. There comes a point  when you need to sift through the actual search results to see what is helpful to your current interest.  Yes this could be done from a note file, but I think a clippings file is better suited to this phase of research.  Not every article kept as part of the clipping file will necessarily become part of my note file on the research topic, and they way I would incorporate them into the note would differ for each search result.  Some I may wish to directly add to the note file, with a separate note (after highlighting something in the 'article', and other's I may simply wish to put a short quote form the article within the note with a link back to the article.  I can choose to keep the clipping and add mytags for future use or discard it when I feel I no longer need it.

  • Wonder about Personal Book(s) ? that could keep clippings with tagging added

    Keep Smiling [:)]
