Iphone4s

OK...I am in the considering Iphone4s instead of ITouch...is 2gig of monthly usage enough to download and install Logos on this phone? Is there a setting that can be used for wifi only or should I just turn the internet off in the settings? If I turn the internet off, does this also change the setting on my main computer at home since Logos sincs everything? I dont want to run out of data time. Any suggestions? What are the pros and cons of Iphone 4s? Thanks for your input.

When WiFi is enabled on an iPhone (any version) it is always used (when you are connected) over the 3G connection ... so .. when you get ready to down load Logos or any app for that matter just make sure you are connected to WiFi and you won't use any of the 2GB 3G data limit. I'm presently traveling in Switzerland with a 4S and since International data rates are outrageous, I just turn off roaming and turn on WiFi ... works well.

Dan, I use my iphone for everything when I am away from the office. I use Logos a lot, and am in the beta program as well, which means that every couple of days we get a new version of the iphone app that needs to be down loaded. I have my phone set to use wifi when it is available, and when I am home, it uses the wifi all of the time then. I have used the logos app for over 2 years now, and have never gone over 1.5 gig (only once did I use 1.5...) usually, I use less than a 600 meg of service for the month... and I use my iphone all of the time. Two gig should be fine unless you are watching netflix movies! oh, and be sure to leave the wifi turned on, on your iphone as logos does not use that much service.

Hi Dan. I went through the same choice and bought a 4S almost two months ago. I've been disappointed at how little data I've used. [:)] As Kelly pointed out, unless you're doing a lot of video intensive things over 3G, 2GB will provide plenty of data. The week after I got my 4S was spent primarily away from WiFi, and I downloaded a lot of apps and Logos books via 3G. At the end of the month, I had not used half a GB.

It is amazing how well you can read on the iPhone. I use mine to read when I am out, and the screen is so sharp that it overcomes the small screen size pretty well. You will not have any problem with data usage from Logos, as many have already pointed out. I hope you enjoy it.

Logos is the reason that I went with the iPhone, and I am glad that I did.
