Has anybody tried to read the books on Logos on any of the new kindles?  Does it work well or is it not worth getting?  Thank you,

Kevin

I don't have a new Kindle, but I don't think this would work.  According to http://www.logos.com/apps there isn't a Kindle app, and Kindle is designed to only work with Amazon's book format.  Perhaps the Kindle Fire would work, since it's based on Android.  But it's such a scaled back version of Android that I'd be surprised if Logos ran very well, if at all.

There is a Logos app for the Kindle Fire and it runs very well and pretty fast.

  • I have the newest kindle touch, and there is no way to load the books on automatically, but I copy and paste entire chapters into a word document then use Calibre to send the documents in mobi format to my kindle, which has been very easy and great so far, can take a little time depending on how much you need to send to kindle, but it works pretty well.

Hi Joshua, I have the Kindle Fire and have 6 (2 Bibles) books downloaded so that I can read them without being connected with a wifi, you just can't do any other actions like Passage Guide.

I have two Kindle books, and I will only buy them if Logos doesn't have them because with the Logos books I can see the page, the notes in the books which are pop-ups if I tap on them... the kindle has the notes just like a normal book you have to go to the last couple of pages, and then navigate back to where you were reading.

It does exactly what I suspected and MORE! Great app Logos, if you get the highligting to work, I'll buy all the programers coffee on Bob[:D]

Reading the American Standard Version without any internet connection, though at home I can relax on the couch with the Kindle and have over 3k books available. Who would have ever thunk it?

Kevin, it's well worth getting! I am able to read my whole library, plus do research, using passage guide, and also do comparison and searches.

I don't have a Fire, but I have the original Kindle. You can export the book from Logos into a text file and then load it onto the Kindle and it works great. Very easy to transfer.

i have a Kindle and use it to log onto the Biblia.com site where i can access almost all of my Logos books. the kindle even has a handy Article mode in the options which makes the page look a lot less cluttered. I'd really recommend the kindle and the e-ink screen is just like a real dead tree page.

it works fine on Kindle Fire but not as slick as the one for IPOD.

My library shows that I have 4649 resources, and of that number I can access 4523 on Biblia.com, which should be the same amount available via mobile devices.

Is there an easy way to copy an entire book from Logos so you can upload it to the Kindle?  Blocking and copying takes a long time.  I did that and next translated it to a PDF and it works wonderfully, but the process took a while.  I am just looking for an easier way to do this.  Mainly, I want to read books I have purchased through Logos on my Kindle DX.
