I want to find all the occurences of a particular Strong's number in whatever bible I am reading.
How do I do this using Logos for mac?
The way I do it is cut-n-past the actual original language word into the search and search the original language text I am interested in.
For Example: if I want to know where the strongs number for a Greek word is used, I lookup the Greek word then cut-n-past it into the "Bible Speed Search" and select the resource I want to search using the drop down box. This allows you to search the MT, TR, CT, LXX individually and find out where it is and is not used; they all will not match 100% of the time. You can even take it a step further and search the dead sea scrolls fragments and other interesting documents depending on what books you own.
If you do the "Speed Searches" using interlinear English-Greek/Hebrew you can see how the word was translated for that given translation/original language pair; it can be different given the translation/original language text paring.
I hope this helps,Ken

I don't use Strong's so much any more because Logos allows you to search on the original word. There are several ways though I think to still search based on strongs, using an interlinear that has strongs or something like the NASB or KJV with the strongs numbering switched on under the menu option view.
You don't even have to turn the Strong's numbers on in the View / Inline or Interlinear Strong's Numbers, or in NASB View / Interlinear made visible. With the right click you get the option "Selected Reference: and given Strong's Number" When selected you can do many things with it, including the Speed Search of the given Resource.
It is good to have it, just for the feeling [:)] in fact however, as you said already, it is better and even quicker to search directly by the original word. Logos makes it so easy.
