Since this collection includes the REST of his works but NOT Imitation of Christ, I'm at a loss (not being familiar with the rest of his works) how I'd use them. Can you shed light?
How do I lsell him? Let me count the ways.
1. His writings fall into a time period poorly represented in Logos.
2. Two volumes are important for Church History.
3. Two volumes provide additional source material to the recent releases on the history of preaching.
4. Three volumes are of the New Devotion school as is his better known Imitation of Christ. If you are not in the same league as the auto mechanic I knew who had worn out 14 copies of Imitation in his life, they provide you with new text for the same spirituality.
5. All his writings give insight into the mind of a man who copied out the entire Bible twice (10 volumes each) and whose writings show a real depth of knowledge of Scripture (esp. New Testament) that comes from meditating over it letter by letter.
