I don't think there is ANYTHING you can buy in Logos that makes more sense than the Classic Commentaries Collections. The cost per item is miniscule and the return is phenomenal! I don't know how much reading in older commentaries some folks may have done, but I am very often surprised at how insightful and in-depth they can be. The detail of discussion often puts modern commentaries to shame.
And while I'm talking up older resources, let me get in a plug for Hastings's Encyclopaedia of Religion and Ethics--also in CP--which I have been not-so-patiently wanting and waiting for in Logos for well over a decade. If it ever gets published it will be THE GO-TO RESOURCE that I check for virtually every topic I study.
My current bid on HERE is $170, and I would pay that amount GLADLY!! At the current $30(!!!) it is practically like getting a quality 5-carat diamond out of a gumball machine! BID ON THIS RESOURCE...YOU WILL BE VERY GLAD YOU DID!
