creating slides, altering backgrounds

I need to be able to import images and then move them around on the content slides. Or as backgrounds. I can bring in some great images as backgrounds, but then I can't alter them in any way so any text is legible. I've tried altering images in other programs and then bringing them in, but what comes in is a page with the image on it, and that sits on top of the generic white slide.

We wanted to go to Proclaim to simplify building services. We used SongShowPlus for the song slides, and then made the sermon slides in Powerpoint, then usually ran Powerpoint instead of importing into SSP, which has its own problems.

BUt so far, I have to make a Powerpoint slide, adding the background or image, altering its size, say, and then add the text, alter that so it all works, then export that as a jpg, and then bring that file into Proclaim. There isn't any benefit there.

Is there something I'm missing? I need to build message slides using imported images and to change effects on text. Will this ever be possible in Proclaim?

And will I ever get an answer to this query?

Support for resizing/moving foreground content is planned for a future release. In the meantime you'll have to design your custom content in another application and import the finished design into Proclaim.

Version 1 of Proclaim focuses on providing a good experience for media offered by the Proclaim store. We realize this is not a complete solution for all churches and plan to address it soon.
