As a Logos 4 user, I have my home page set up to let me know what is on pre-pub, community pricing what is on sale, and latest news. When I get around to it, I will browse through the home page pages and see if there is anything that holds my interest or should go on my list of things to buy when I have the money. To me, that is all the sales pitch I need from Logos or any other provider, ie., I decide when I go shopping or look at the sales flyers. Now, every day I start up Logos I receive a pitch for something (I don't read them now that I know what they are). It does not take up much real estate, but when they block something that I am trying to read, I have to close them. It annoys me that the software I purchased to help me study the Bible has become a tool to sell me more product. Bible study used to be where I could go and put my mind on God and the things of God. Now someone else has determined that it is an opportunity to separate me from my hard earned money. It makes me wonder if anything is sacred anymore. Is it me getting old and grumpy, or are there others out there as offended about this as I am?
