How come my HALOT does not appear on my iPad?
Because the publisher has not given permission. If a resource can be viewed on the iPad there will be an iPhone icon on the product page. I emailed the publisher regarding this book, and The Context of Scripture, I have never heard back.
Maybe calling them might get an answer. If it was up to Logos all books would be available.
Blessings,
Philana
Hi Philana,
I am in shock after reading your post. I sincerely did not knew about this. I am in need to use the "The Greek New Testament. 4th rev. ed. United Bible Societies, 1993. -Aland, K., et al." on my iPad. However, this Bible is not sold separately but a comes on a package. Therefore, I am wondering how do I know if a book is "allow" to run on an iPad if it only comes in a bundle provided by Logos. Thanks truly for the advice. The book is showing on my Mac but not on my iPad.
Jose
Hi Jose

I guess that the only answer for items you own is to check it out and see. If you are about to upgrade you might want to check out particular items with Customer Services before parting with your money.
That said not every book has been tagged as available on mobile devices even when it could be so it is worth asking anyway.

Unfortunately this resource is NOT available on the iPad at the moment. See http://community.logos.com/forums/t/42384.aspx
Okay Logos workers, here is the firepower you need to convince Brill to allow HALOT on our mobile devices. HALOT is now on OliveTree Bible software that is, like Logos, multi-platform.

Hi Danny,
If you want to know whether or not a resource is available on mobile devices you can login to your account at http://www.logos.com and search for the specific resource. If you see an iPhone icon to the right of "Works on:" you'll know it's available for mobile devices. Thanks!
Thanks Kevin for the help, I did know that. I'm pressing Logos to get this resource available across platform, as it is the top Hebrew lexicon and I would like it on my iPad too. If Olive Tree can do it, Logos should be able to as well

Its an issue of licensing.
Yes, I recognize it is a licensing issue. My hope in continuing to raise it is my hope that Logos will work hard to get this resource onto the iOS. It is the top Hebrew lexicon in the field and I'd really like it on my iPad and iPhone.
I appreciate this doesn't help you with offline access, but is it possible to access HALOT via biblia.com on your iPad, or is this prevented by the same licensing issues?

You can rest assured that they are working on it.
I could be wrong, but I think if it isn't on iOS, it isn't on biblia. It is true in this case, at least
why can I be rest assured ? I'm the type of (annoying) forum user who isn't fully satisfied until he hears from a Logos employee on an issue - and on this forum I cannot tell who is an employee and who isn't
A Logos employee will have the logo for Logos underneath their avatar.
I cannot tell who is an employee and who isn't
Look under Kevin Byford's name above. You will see the Logo.

You are welcome to keep at it, but you are unlikely to get an answer better than the one I gave you unless Bob Pritchett himself answers you. There are legal/contract issues involved, and it would be unwise for Logos to give you an answer other than "we're working on it." With all of the hoopla over the NIV not being on mobile (its available now), the only answer that anyone got was Bob saying "we're working on it."
I don't know how long you have been on here, or what threads you have followed, but here is a short explanation. Logos believes that you should have access to EVERY resource you own on EVERY device you own. Logos allows this on every resource unless 1) there is a technical reason why you can't or (more likely) 2) the publisher won't allow it. Sometimes users say, "let me pay for it again!" Thankfully Logos does not budge on this issue. If Logos caved even once, you would likely have to pay twice for an increasing amount of resources.
