This is not systematic but frequent: I click on the "search in" link to open up the list of resource/collections/tags choice and it takes quite a while to populate. Other times, it is instant.
Is it Basic Search - depends on all open resources, has more Collections; or
Bible Search - depends on all open bibles, different collections to Basic?
I get frustrated with this, too. I can't see any technical reason why it needs to take so long.
I don't have a lot of Collections (20) and Bible Search at some stage has to figure out the ones with Bibles!
Also no longer have c. 70 Earliest NT MSS which did affect the responsiveness on Bible Search (even though these are fixed compared to Collections).

Apart from (1), I can run all these queries myself. When I do, I get the following response times:
Now, granted, Logos has to generate the menu, in addition to these times, but if you watch what's going on you'll find that the majority of the time is spent searching catalog.db, which must mean (3), (4) and (5). I just can't see any reason why these queries need to take so long.
