I've been a Logos user for a long time, since those early years. I never thought I would own a Mac since I used to build my own PC's, however; Vista changed my mind. I wasn't willing to switch to a Mac until Logos came out with the Mac engine. Now, I'm hooked on my MacBook Pro (even running the Mac 1 engine). I use my Logos everyday. I wouldn't want to do Bible study without it. I understand that Logos 4 is a work in progress, I'm willing to wait. Logos is worth the wait... Now having said that, I have a lot of books. Scholar's Library Gold plus a lot of additional titles over the years. I upgraded to Logos 4 portfolio seven days ago. My MacBook Pro is running Snow Leopard (10.6.1) on a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB DDR3 Ram, and has been running 24 hours a day since last Monday and I'm still indexing. It's telling me I still have 68:24 remaining... The activity monitor has been showing continuos activity for Logos4Indexer in excess of 150% CPU activity consistently (when I check) using between 850MB - 1.0GB of Real Memory. They system is not sleeping. The software has downloaded and installed the Alpha 2 in the process. Sometimes the indexer shuts itself down and I have to open the software to restart the process (3 or 4 times in 7 days). Is there something I'm missing, or do I just wait it out?
