The Story of Christianity Volumes 1 & 2 by Justo Gonzalez

I am surprised Logos does not have these books. They are very good. My college had us use "vol 1" for Church History 301 and "vol 2" for Church History 302.
This means I have read through both books cover to cover and I highly recommend them.
It looks like Logos has these books in Spanish but not English. This is strange.

[Y] Yes, these have been requested before several times. They were used in my Church History classes, too. Very readable.
C'mon, Logos. Hurry, hurry! Amazon has volume 1 already in Kindle. They're going to eat your lunch! See if you can beat them to it and get both volumes out in Logos format before they do volume 2. [:)]

Yes, but..
On Amazon for Vol 1 it says : "Reading level: Ages 99 and up" so I guess there wont be much demand :P
Never Deprive Anyone of Hope.. It Might Be ALL They Have

It looks like the two volume set was updated and revised in 2010, but not the single volume version. I'm curious as to the differences, does anybody know?

I didn't noticed that. I do remember paying less in seminary for the single volume than it would have cost for either of the two smaller volumes.mitchellisdumb said:It looks like the two volume set was updated and revised in 2010, but not the single volume version. Please include more good Church History references to LOGOS (Background of Early Christianity, Documents of the Christian Church, 2000 Years of Christ's Power, etc...)

This seems like a pretty staple text on church history for quite a few seminaries. I wonder whether it's lack of availability has anything to do with HarperCollins, the publisher. I just did a quick search on logos.com and it only came up with about 11 HarperCollins books.
As a back-up, I'd like to buy this book in kindle format. However, the entry for volume says:
Item Under Review
This title is currently unavailable because customers have told
us that there may be something wrong with the description, the content,
or the way that the content is displayed.
We're working with the publisher to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
As always, we value customer feedback.
[:(]It looks like it's available in iBooks though - at the same price as it was being offered on the Kindle store!

HarperCollins owns Zondervan so it shouldn't be too hard to talk with them about it... However, they may want to segment their market and not just by the name of the publisher.

Wonder about Vyrso opportunity for these books ?
This just showed up on Vyrso:
A History of Christian Thought Volume 3: From the Protestant Reformation to the 20th Century (Justo L. Gonzalez)
Wonder what happened to Volume 1: From the Beginnings to the Council of Chalcedon & Volume 2: From Augustine to the Eve of the Reformation? Those are not available in Vyrso yet, though it shouldn't be long as they are both available in Kindle format.

After holding out as long as I could, I bought Vols 1 & 2 from Amazon only two weeks ago. I'd much rather have had them in Logos / Vyrso. Still, maybe I'll have to bite the bullet as and when they do make it to Vyrso, especially given the price seems to be competitive.
