Bug: 4.5 Beta 11 download of new resource orders

Follow up to thread => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/42522/317403.aspx#317403 noticed Logos 4.5 Beta 11 on Mac and PC are unable to download recent purchases. Looking in error log, noticing Logos server timeouts:

Edit: after posting this bug report, download of 11 MB began. The status of 99 % remained after downloading resources for several minutes.

That's a fairly common error. I had many on 6 Dec but there is no relationship to expected resource download (I had none).

After purchasing some $ 10.00 Bibles, had many more errors before resources commenced downloading.

Wondering if Logos web server upgrade is planned (or in progress) to improve download of metadata, notes, ...?

Seriously, I'd like to see is a logos4.log to establish a relationship between the error message and delayed downloading of new resources.

Attached Logos4.log file has 10 "No updates are available." at various times on Dec 25, later followed by queuing 3 resource updates to download. Zip file also has corresponding Logos4Error.log and Logos4Indexer.log for resource downloads.

It makes fascinating reading with an unusual amount of Get License calls followed by Resource info updates and Web Exceptions. New license was recognised at 10:24 but it wasn't until 20:14:07 that updates were recognised as available followed by a Get license data request and a download of new bibles. Then there was another web exception during the download.

Between 10:25 and 19:53 there were a number of web exceptions followed by GetResourceDownloadInfo failed from Update Manager. So the delay in downloading was likely due to web exceptions in this period, but not before.

Unusual amount corresponds with knowing I had ordered some $ 10.00 Bibles so was toggling program settings for automatic download. Whenever automatic download is set to Yes, Logos 4 checks licenses to download.

None of those web exceptions appear in Logos4Error.log i.e. CommunicationException for ResourceFileSet[]:

I purchased a bible this morning and within minutes got the message (in Beta 4.5) that a download was available. The log displayed "The server has new licenses; downloading them" and the download proceeded shortly after that. There were no web exceptions and the last I received was on 21 December.

I think that most users expect that sort of turnaround when they read the message to restart L4 to get their new resource... but I didn't have to restart!

I purchased one of the $10 bibles about an hour ago. 2 or 3 minutes after confirming the purchase L4 notified me that I had a resource update waiting to be downloaded. This has worked fine for me since the release of this feature in this beta cycle (I think it was around 4.5 B5 or B6)
