Prioritze Greek and Hebrew Texts

I tried to prioritize Greek and Hebrew texts from the home page and they do not show up. I want to prioritize as I do my Bibles, Commentaries, etc. Why do they not come up when I search in my library?

Also, as a way to get more familiar with L4, I am making a comparison with L3 so I can adjust my desktop, completing linking as well. I did notice one thing,,,,when I keylink the Passage Guide so that all my resouces sync to the verse I am looking at, if I try to enter a Bible passage on the Home Page it will only so a search, not actually open the text.

Finally, I can't get rid of SermonCentral.com or PowerPointSermons.com. I hit the 'x' on each link and save my layout, and the next time I log in, they are there again.

Prioritize - You can only do this within the library screen, not from the Home Page.

Open text from Home Page - In the command bar you type Open then the resource name or short name. Putting the resource in the box with GO after it is a search/guide activator.

To get rid of a section in the Guides use the triangle on the left to close it. The next time it won't open. You can also customize a guide without it and someone else will tell you what to call it to make it your default - My brain doesn't answer with that.

Did you shut down and restart after your prioritized your Greek and Hebrew texts?

Second..what exactly are you trying to search and how are you trying to search it?

that info would help.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying in the second comment; if you want to open a specific bible to a specific passage, just type in the command bar: "open ESV to Romans 1" or whatever bible and passage you want.

As for your pg problems...the big passage guide is the default unless you make your own.

Go to:

Guides>make a new guide template

and then customize a guide with the elements you want included...save it as "My Passage Guide" and it will be the default from the homepage.

then open it specifically in your layout..

then save your layout and it should be just fine..

What is the title of the book your trying to prioritize? If you mean interlinears there are none, at this point and probably never will be, as L4 has the interlinear integrated right into the Bible resource. If you mean something like the Lexham Greek-English Interlinear then it depends on what package you have.

When using the Exegetical Guide I have to select The English-Greek Reverse Interlinear New Testament King James Version. I do find the Hebrew and Greek Lexicons and maybe that is what I should be prioritizing. I wanted to add Strongs as well to that list. I will try your other suggestions as well. Stumbling through to get L4 to function as best as possible like L3.

Thanks, Chris. I will have to study some more on all of the capabilities and limitations of L4. Strongs shows up when I highlight the word and displays it in the Information Window. There does not appear anyway to link the English-Greek Interlinear that is built in so that it opens to the one I want based on the Bible I have set as the priority. Nevertheless, L4 functions for me. Still learning and hopefully Morris Proctor's L4 Manual will arrive next week in the mail.

That KJV reverse interlinear should appear in your Library as "King James Version". If labelled as The English-Hebrew Reverse Interlinear Old Testament King James Version it is the same resource in Library. All Reverse Interlinears follow that pattern of the English bible name appearing in Library eg. NKJV, NASB95, ESV.

I do find the Hebrew and Greek Lexicons and maybe that is what I should be prioritizing. I wanted to add Strongs as well to that list.

If you want the meanings of original language words (keylinking) then you need to prioritize up to 5 lexicons for each language! If you want to keylink with Strong's numbers then prioritize a resource like Enhanced Strong's Lexicon after your other lexicons.
