Bookmarks

Has anyone else had trouble bookmarking using the shortcuts (Ctrl+shift+ #) I tried to do some today and my books went to the last page of the book instead of marking the page I was on and the bookmarks showed that nothing had been marked. (they remained unassigned). The buttons work on my keyboard and if I click on the bookmark page to mark them manually they work but I cannot use the shortcuts. Any ideas?

Have the keys been reassigned (maybe in another program)?

Have you tried rebooting the computer?

Hey Dave,

Not that I know of. I am not even sure that I would know how to do that. They do seem to work like they usually do. I can type in caps if I push the shift key and the ctrl key will locate my mouse on the screen like it always has. I did get them to work once but that seemed almost more like a fluke. My computer was rebooted twice yesterday for a none related issue after AVG installed a new version. It has been awhile since i have tried using them this way and since then I installed Google Sketch up. I do not think that they were reassigned but I guess it could have done that.

you need to explore the possibility. Does CTRL+Shift+# do anything in those programs?

Hey Dave,

so far as I can tell it does not do anything in that program. Ctrl + shft has an affect but the # aspect of the equation does not seem to do anything.

Make sure you use the number keys along the top of the keyboard under the function keys and not the keypad number keys.

That seems to be the problem. I guess I have never used the keypad before but your right it only works with the numbers at the top and not the keypad. I am not sure I ever would have realized that. Thank you for your help and Dave too for giving me some of your time to make this work.
