With L4 having hit the 2 year mark, I think that the users would like to see progress at the refinement level. It is occuring but not necessarily in a manner that encourages users to recognize it. What I would suggest is:
- Choose a feature e.g. Passage Guide
- List known problems
- List suggestions for modifications that are on record (in house an/or uservoice)
- Specifically request users input on their frustrations - what they would like to be able to do.
- Release a version with just the fixes and refinements between the releases of new features ... i.e. interleave the refinements/corrections with the development
One could control the order of the features being refined to minimize the impact on the development while slowly working one's way through all the features.
