Is there any benefit in deleting the snapshots off the layout page?
They are beginning to accumulate rather quickly.
No...other than just you might not like them being there....
The good thing is they are a bit of a failsafe....you can go back a week to rescue a layout....
I have created a few custom layouts. If I make changes to one, how do I save the new layout? Selecting the current snapshot and typing the name of the original name does not seem to work.
I have just clicked on the pencil next to the current snapshot and saved it as the same name. That seemed to work for me.
Jack,it has to be the SAME EXACT NAME CAPS INCLUDED..
I've learned to make layouts with very short names..
Instead of:
Romans 9 study on Predestination
I use:
R9 Predest
I wish there was a save button
Yes a "save layout " would be much better than the present process- very tedious to say the least.
Can you see this Bob [:O]
Although initially confusing....I like the current way. It is MUCH faster to simply create or modify a layout and then go to the current snapshot and give it a name.
What I would like as a feature is the ability for us users to share a named layout. We could have an icon next to the edit (pencil) icon that opens a simple dialog in which we type in the user's customer ID and click SEND.
Whyndell, I wouldn't mind a drag and drop layout save. Drop ontop of an existing layout to replace it.

Perfect....

That's a pencil? Wow! I do need to have my eyes checked; I must need new glasses [:$]. John, thanks for the response. That is what I had been doing, just didn't notice that the tiny blob to the right of the name was a pencil.
Jack
That would be wonderful

Jack, did you know - seriously - that you can change the overall size of program fonts, menus, and pencils. Edit: Just click on the pic to see original size. Go to Tools | Program Settings. Then under Accessibility, change the Program Scaling to whatever percentage you deem appropriate.
this is set to actual size:

Or we could keep asking Logos to fix up those elements of the UI which are a hindrance and not a help....
The little pencil's been a problem from Beta 1...
Maybe something more obvious:
True that!
I like your pencil. It makes a good point.

Yes, I know that. But it seems a bit of overkill to increase the size of everything in the program so I can detect a single element that was too small in the basic design. I am using dual 23" cinema displays. If something is too small to see at that resolution, it is too small! [8-|]. See those eyes—They are adequate to the task at hand!

Damian, as usual you are correct!

Ditto that! Great idea! [:)] Spend too much time now retyping to save a layout I am using.
