menu options inoperable on Kindle Fire
Frequently when I "swipe" to get the menu selections at bottom of screen, the selections will not work. The only way I can get back to Logos home screen is to go back to Fire's home screen, return to Logos and hope that the selections will work and I can get back to Logos' home screen. Sometimes it takes turning off the Fire.

Have you tried tapping the screen. The up-swipe in a bible will get a tools menu, whilst down-swipe or tap will give the general menu (as will the Menu button if your device has one).

I notice the same problem on my Fire. If I swipe in a book (it works in the home menu, passage guide, etc.) that the menu buttons which come up do not work. If I tap instead of swipe, as Dave suggested, they do work.

My wife got a new Fire for Christmas and we have experienced the same thing. The entire Logos UI becomes unresponsive to touch at times.

I've noticed a problem too. I'm not sure if it is what you are describing, but here is what I've learned.
When I am reading a resource on my kindle fire and tap the arrow at the bottom of the screen - the menu bar opens up and I tap the middle icon (I don't know what all these are called) and a menu opens up where I can select "Action", "View Settings", "Home", Library" "Search" and "More". If I try to select any of these options they will not work.
However, when I tap the middle of my screen the same menu opens up and I can access any of these choices.
Hope this helps.

Ronald, yes that is what I was describing.

I'll give that a try next time it happens. Thanks

I am having the same issues with Logos on my Fire as well. I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling Logos, but without any success in getting the menu to work properly. I have experienced the exact same thing that Ronald describes above.
It would be nice to have it work from the most "logical" point.
I hate to sound like I am nagging about these things, especially because Logos is such an excellent resource and already has helped me tremendously in my preaching and pastoral work through both the mobile and desktop versions. Hopefully a fix is on its way!
Happy New Year!

These problems likely arise from the custom Android OS (based on 2.3) that is used i.e. not the Logos app.

Tapping in the middle works. Logos has some interesting anomolies to fix. Hopefully the Hebrew and Greek issues are on a high priority. I'm accustomed to selecting the wrong word and the offset vowel points aren't extremely troublesome. Today I was in an Aramaic text and thought my mind wasn't working (deslexic or senior moment?) until I figured out that it was writing left to right.

This unresponsiveness really DOES need to be fixed. If I do enough tapping, I can eventually get to where I want to go, but that's kinda crazy to have to spend that much time and effort to rediscover the "mystery code" to simply select a feature.

Since getting the "tap in the middle" advice, I have had no problems on my Kindle. It is an odd "bug" that should get fixed, but on mine it only requires a single tap to get the menu selections and they all work fine.

Yup, this works for me as well.
