Problems Installing Logos 4 - PLEASE HELP

I purchased one bible translation about a week ago and downloaded the logos 4 tool to read it. Now I purchased the Bible Study edition of Logos 4 and have downloaded it. When I attempt to run the install, my existing logos 4 with the one bible just opens up. My new library doesn't load.

What do I need to do?

Hello...

1. Have all your resources downloaded? If not type "update now" in the command bar

2. If it has downloaded it takes some time to index, this may be the problem.

As far as I know, the package has downloaded. I clicked on the download link associated with my purchase. It is showing as 77MB, that seems low. Am I missing something regarding how to download the software?

That sounds like the size of the program (engine) not the library....

1. Did you try typing "update now" in the command box?

2. Is your recent purchase under a different account/log in?

3. If the above is not working, you may need to call in

It would be nice if this was explained in the Logos support instructions somewhere. I can't be the first person who has gone through this.

Yes, I saw those resources. Thank you. The challenge was I had purchased a single bible from Logos previously. When I purchased the base package, I kept looking for a download and the only thing I found was the logos app itself. Assuming that would get me there I downloaded it but when attempting to open, my Mac was telling me I already had it.

I didn't know I had to open the Logos app I already had and it would automatically update with the new library. As a matter of fact, I started to uninstall my existing Logos app thinking that was the problem and ended up doing a reboot which, as it turned out, was taking place while the new library started indexing.

When I figured it out, it worked really well. If this had been a fresh install, it would have been a piece of cake - no instructions needed. However, one line on the order confirmation page for people with a previous Logos install could have saved me a lot of guessing and aggravation. I didn't see anything about this in the support docs or on the links above.

Thanks again to everyone for responding. Logos Tech support was also very fast and helpful. I am looking forward to using my new software and become part of the Logos community.

Concur, posted web site suggestion => Suggestion: Please Modify Order Instructions for Base Package Purchases and Upgrades with reference to this thread.

Also added Tip to wiki Getting Started with Logos => Installation + Indexing

Tip: After Logos.com order(s), changing your Logos 4 program setting for Automatically Download Updates to Yes initiates process to download, install, and index new purchase(s).
